Historical Background
Before 2000 BCE, a civilization called Harappa Culture in the Indus River Valley. Archeologists discovered the civilization contained coins, pots, regular streets, running water along, and solid brick houses. The discovery of this civilization proved a genuine sign of development. They also had a writing system, and till now they are trying to decipher today.
Between 2000 and 5000 BCE was the traditional period of early Vedic religion. During this period a lot of information of gods and worship was given. The origin of the Vedas and the religion is still uncertain. In the late eighteenth century western scholars recognize the ancient language in India was related to Greek and Latin language. Also they realized many god names were mentioned in Iranian sacred literature.
